Last blog of the year "taf shin samech hey"

Of course I was totally off as far as wake-up time was concerned. They all got up within minutes of the last post.

Best thing to do erev yom tov: shopping on Ben Yehuda, with a little stop at Kikar Tzion for a quick picture.

Food tip of the day: check out "Pinati" on King George. The simple pleasures of "lenagev tsalachat" (untranslateable - but essentially cleaning up a plate of chummus with pita) elevated to the level of culinary delight. Laid-back atmosphere (if there is no room to sit alone you WILL share a table with complete strangers - great way to meet people), no-nonsense service (you order from the very limited menu, the food is served within seconds, you eat, you go). Not for everyone but if you want some authentic chummus and don't mind the "informality" of it all, this is the place for you. Dr Atkins turned over in his grave twice today. Looks like he might be going for a while during this trip of ours. Thank you Norman and Yoni for the tip.

We'll continue posting after the chag. In the meantime: chag sameach, ktiva vechatime tova.

You forgot to mention the singing waiter, and the fact that if you try to stick around for one moment after you finish your meal, they boot you out of there!
